Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree yesterday and Owen was so excited. When we brought it into the house it was all wrapped up and he said as he danced, "Let's open it up! There's Christmas inside that tree!"

Gingerbread House RIP

Poor little gingerbread house. Owen and I spent 2 fun days putting together our gingerbread house kit. He did a great job decorating it with me. About a week later, after the rains hit LA, the ants decided it was too wet outside and moved in to the gingerbread house. So, I was forced to put it outside. Then the rains came again... this time melting the house. The ants abandoned the house, and now there is now melted candy all over our back porch. Oh well, we have this great picture of it and there is always next year!

Owen & Santa 09

Owen met with Santa already this year. Told him he wants a rock crusher machine for Xmas. I have yet to have ever seen a rock crusher machine. Google can't find one either, or ebay or Amazon! Guess Santa will have to get creative.

Best Smile

The only person I know that has just as good a smile is her brother - Owen.

First Day Of School!!!

Here's Owen on his first day of school. He insisted on wearing his snow gloves.

Every morning his class starts off with a nature walk. They walk around the campus holding onto this knotted rope. So cute.

Baby Sister!!!

Owen meets his baby sister, Edie James at Cedars. He's going to be a good big brother.

Owen's Latest Projects

Owen took an art class this summer called "the way we live". He built different kinds of houses.

This started out as NYC but later evolved into an observatory. Griffith Park Observatory is one of Owen's favorite places. All the things sticking up are telescopes.

This is a tee-pee.

In our spare time, we have been catering to one of Owen's latest obsessions - car washes. They have started to get pretty elaborate. Here are a few of the latest. Take notice of the "swirly brushes". Owen claims they are some of the best ones he's ever seen. Not to mention the tallest.

This model car wash is based on some European styles we found on You Tube.

Owen has gotten really good at making faces. The bottom one being on heavy rotation - his "I'm sad" face.

We were in Atlanta on the 4th of July. The humidity was enough to drive you crazy!

Big Boy Bed

This weekend, Owen upgraded from his crib to a big boy bed. As you can tell, he took to it very quickly.
